Oxford Photomarathon
Reading time: 1 minute.
Oxford’s first photomarathon is coming on 25 July 2026.
I am really excited to be involved in organizing
This event will be a 24-hour creative challenge designed to test your observation, imagination, and storytelling skills. Participants will have one full day to capture 12 photographs based on 12 set topics, revealed during the event. It’s all about thinking on your feet, seeing the world differently, and responding to the topics in your own unique style.
“12 images | 12 topics | 24 hours”
While the photomarathon is rooted in Oxford - with the city’s streets, architecture, and atmosphere offering an incredible playground for image-making - you don’t have to be local to take part. This is a global-friendly event, and photographers can join in from wherever they are in the world, interpreting the same topics through their own surroundings and perspective.
Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just love the creative buzz of a challenge, this event promises to be inspiring, social, and a lot of fun. Expect a day of exploration, fresh ways of seeing familiar places, and the shared experience of creating alongside a community of fellow photographers.
Tickets will be released in April, so keep an eye out for further announcements and be ready to secure your place.
