I am really looking forward to tomorrow’s networking group at The Late Breakfast because I am giving a presentation on how to increase your online presence using Twitter, Linkedin and blogging.

I will let you know how we get on.

This morning at The Late Breakfast networking meeting in Abingdon I had the pleasure of listening to Catherine Warrilow (www.warrilowpr.co.uk) present a talk on Social Networking.

Catherine covered Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and blogs and gave out some excellent advice.

I have to admit I have caught the Twitter bug. At first I thought it was a bit of a gimmick but as time has gone on I have found it to be a really useful tool for getting and sharing snippets of info about my chosen profession.

It has its lighter side too though, who would have thought I would eagerly log on to find out what everyone had for lunch or to see what so and so did that morning.

If you haven’t taken the plunge then why not have a go. Take a look at my profile and ‘follow’ me. You might even enjoy it.

Networking at its best

We had an excellent meeting this morning at The Late Breakfast in Abingdon. Twenty-five people turned up which is an excellent number. We had a talk from Roope Aaltonen from UK Trade and Investment and he gave us some good sound advice on we go about finding new customers from overseas.

The next Late Breakfast meeting I am attending is on the 18th Feb. The speaker is Jackie Cross from Life in Balance and she will be explaining how our energy levels can effect our businesses. Visit The Late Breakfast for more details.

The Late Breakfast Networking Group

// February 3rd, 2009 // No Comments » // Networking

I host The Late Breakfast networking group in Abingdon. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month at The Four Pillars Hotel. The Late Breakfast is a great way to network, you don’t get any of the hard sell like other groups and you’re not forced to give your ‘1 minute pitch’ either which for some is a god send.

The Late Breakfast has meeting all round Oxfordshire and I can thoroughly recommend going.

Take a look at The Late Breakfast website for details on upcoming events.
